My Personal Experience with the Lord

Before I came into this world, my Lord already chose me (Ephesians 1:4). He let me be born in a Christian family and grow up attending church meetings. I never felt any difference between my friends and I . When I was in second grade one of my classmates asked me what I usually did on Sunday. I told her that I went to church for Sunday school every week. She was very surprised about it. In her opinion, Sunday was a day to go out and play or sleep late. She felt I was so poor that I couldn't go anywhere except to church. This was the first time I realized that to be a Christian made me really different than others.

When I was in high school, I tried to invite my friends and classmates to come to our young people's meetings. Some said, “Sure, I will go.” Some didn't. For me, no matter what answer I got, I felt so weird, especially when I spoke about Christ to them. I don't know why, I just couldn't help myself. Even though I had been taught that as children of God we should preach the gospel and bear fruit (John 15:16), I just couldn't do it. I know I was kind of finding an excuse for myself, but since my Lord didn't force me to obey Him, I ignored His call.

When I came to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim I chose to join the campus team. I know it is the Lord who brought me here. It is just the right place for me. Right now I don't have any excuse to avoid preaching the gospel. I go to campus every day and speak to students. From the beginning I didn't like it, to be honest, I felt so embarrassed preaching the gospel to others whom I didn't know and if they didn't show any interest in my speaking, then I didn't know what to do. Also, at the same time, I felt so discouraged I didn't want to do it anymore. But the Lord is faithful. He knows I need to go out to contact people. After going day after day, I am not afraid anymore. I want to go to campus to preach the gospel to everyone. I know they are seeking something to satisfy their need. I want to tell them, if they have the Lord, Christ, this One will meet their every need. He is the meaning of their life.

I really appreciate the Lord bringing me to the Full-Time Training. He let me have a new beginning with the Lord and gain Him into more of my life.
